I'm not quite sure what Charlie will be wondering about all day long? I have wondered about what he was wondering about. I sorted the photos into two subsets, even and odd numbered years. I discarded the Pasty logo as a common denominator because it should be common to all of them. For the even numbered years subset, there are some years that have the obvious effect of sunlight. That is not true for the subset with the odd numbered years. All of the odd numbered years, except 2007, directly show clouds. I made the assumption that because of the very lowlight conditions in the 2007 photo (that are even mentioned in the 2007 writeup), it had to be a cloudy day, therefore, clouds were present, even though we could not see them. I was taught to think analytically, to rule in and rule out objects like that, in my years of scientific and mathematical schooling and training.

Thanks for clearing that up, Marianne. The wondering was about 2007, which only Neil Harri could really settle for us. (Wondering if you were in touch with Neil :o)
Actually, the watermark is a correct answer, as it did not appear on the 1998 photo. (We had not yet started the "Big Picture" feature). Another correct answer might be, "There is no sunlight shining directly into the camera's lens" (such as in 2000)
Thanks to everybody who tunes in each morning to see if we'll keep our 14 year record intact. And also thanks to all who posted condolences regarding George Hite. I'm sure the family appreciates the outpouring of affection the online community had for our good friend from Eagle Harbor.
