Patty Rheault was up with the chickens recently and snapped some frosty photos to share with us. It amazes me how something so delicate and intricate as a spider web, can hold the weight of nature adding a layer of frost to it. When this happens, it really emphasizes the web so much more, as without the frosty coating, you might not have even noticed it walking by this display.

Patty also captured the frost and fog, shrouding the sun as it was rising over their Bootjack home. I'm guessing that not too long after, as the sun warmed things up, the fog melted away into a decent fall day. Here's hoping we get to enjoy a few more of those, before the white stuff comes to stay. :->

We are on a roller-coaster ride of temperatures in SE Texas; 50's one day, 80's the next, back to the 60's a couple days later. Got to love Autumn in the tropics....

These photos are really great. The webs look thick enough to be doily thread. Nice going!

I'm with you, Marianne and Alex....I too believed that to be a Halloween decoration of string, especially the second pic with the pumpkins in the background. I don't mean to be a 'doubting Thomas' but......?:> Love the foggy sunrise!

I thought this was a Halloween decoration too. Only the photographer knows for sure.

You do all realize the 2 pictures of the spider web are of the same web don't you? One is just a close-up photo of the same web.

I'd love to see the spider that surfs that web.
