The surgery began at 10:45AM yesterday, and I was wheeled into recovery at 1:17PM with a new hip. I left recovery at 5:30PM to a regular hospital room. Every few hours someone has asked how I'm doing with pain. So far, my response has been "What pain?". (!)
A bit later today, Simon Legree will be in to start therapy so we'll see how that goes. So far, it's "Hip, hip hurray". <weak grin>

Glad to hear you are doing so well Mr. Nash. Make sure you do the therapy and get mobile soon. Precious had a broken leg and spent six weeks in therapy. She is doing well. Hope to hear the same for you.

FRNash...now we'll expect that you will be running a marathon next spring. Do as you are directed by those bossy therapists and you'll be fine. I just realized it's been a year this week already since my surgical ordeals. Thank goodness one tends to not remember the details eventually. Good luck and God speed friend.

FRNash, I'm sure these next few days/weeks will feel like ****, but just as all women who have had babies will tell you, you will forget about the pain. I'm sure if we remembered the pain, we wouldn't have more than one baby. Let me know when you're ready for some dance lessons. Hang in there.
