Colors inland are done, toward the lake, getting there. You have to be in the right place at the right time. :)

Is the fall coloring right on time UP in the U.P. this year? I'm asking because the coloring here in east central Iowa is running a bit a head of normal. I have heard the cold and snows maybe expected ahead of it's time as well for here...........aaaaaghhhh!

Colors are running strange this year. No coordination, reds are way ahead of time but there are still trees that haven't turned. Like I said, even though everyone dissed me, way ahead of schedule. Inland is totally done, toward the lake just starting to peak.
As for the cold and snow, 70s all week long, Sunday a chance of rain. Only Gitchee Gumee knows.
The way to see the perfect fall colors is to be in the right place at the right time.

Went to Bruce Crossing again today to the Settler's Coop, great deals on birdseed, suet and corn. FRNash's place of memories gone by.

No, not a trick question, I'm just amazed how fast the coloring is coming on here for as far south of the UP I live.

We're coming home this weekend too. Can't wait to see the colors
around Ishpeming and the Keweenaw.

Heard from David H before we went there in August and he gave me his phone number. Didn't have time, though. One of these times we'll get together. He's enjoying Lake Linden a lot. Who wouldn't???

You're right, Deb. We're doing a lot of chores--like winterizing the
cottage and putting things away. The trip to the Copper Country
will be very brief. Next summer, ok?
