It's the middle of the work week and everyday stresses are getting you down...take a seat on the bench in the first photo, courtesy of Connie Mandoli and enjoy the sun as it comes up over Alberta. There aren't a lot of leaves left on the trees, but there are still some yellows and even a few orange ones here and there, hanging on. With the reflection of the remaining colors in the water, Connie has doubled our viewing pleasure. It might be a good idea to bookmark this page, so when you're feeling overwhelmed, you can click on over here again and sit right back down to mellow out and enjoy the scenery. The U.P. at it's tranquil best.

We have been exploring some places we never been to and just enjoying the peace and quiet when we get there. Every once and awhile a fish or two will come to the top of the water and make a little splash, then watch the ripple of water makes circles all the way back to shore. Just peaceful and quiet.

You ever find a spot like that to where you whisper to each other as not to disturb the peace and quiet?

I agree with you, Mary, it would be a peaceful place to rest and relax. The bottom photo would make an interesting jigsaw puzzle, with all it's variations of color and water movement....one of my favorite things to do during the long cold months of winter.

If you look closely at the script Ford logo on the bank near the water it says, appropriately, "Feord".

Or,...its because when I see that I'm near the end of a long trip from downstate and I'm going cross-eyed from fatigue....

I have been by this place how many times and never stop!! I love the reflections in the water.
Anyone been to the museum? I just heard an ad on the radio a while ago about the Henry Ford Museum.

By the way if you are ever in southeast Michigan be sure to go the the Henry Ford Museum. It has something for everyone. I've been a member for several years and everytime I go I see something new.
