There are never enough "end of the months" to feature all the beautiful sunset/sunrise shots we receive and I just couldn't let the fall season pass without giving you all a look at the fiery ones that have come in lately. The first one absolutely looks like there must be a fire off in the distance, but there isn't. Joe Kirkish said this was the strangest sunset he'd ever seen and it lasted only a few seconds and then was gone forever. Sure glad he captured it at that precise moment.
The next sunset was snapped by Sally Beaudette, from her Bootjack home. This one, too, looks like there is a fire just on the horizon, as the sun goes down for the day. Nice shutter work, Sally.
The last sunset photo was taken by Marlin Wenberg, out near White City. Another good example of a "fire in the sky" kind of sunset. Always more impressive when there are clouds left in the sky to absorb some of those brilliant, flame-like colors.
Thanks to all three photographers for being in the right place, at the right time, with camera at the ready!

Have stated this before but after seeing this morning's array I have to repeat myself. Of all the areas where we have lived in this country, Michigan's sunrises and sunsets are definitely the most beautiful!

I agree with Shirley! I love watching sunsets from Brockway, the lake, the Isle Royale Queen, where ever, and then it all starts again as the sun rises over the far point of Agate Harbor.

Definitly had to question my calendar after seeing these photos before I read the text.
