Bryan and Virginia Hoffman, along with their kids, recently headed to the Somero Farm in Dollar Bay, for some fall type fun. It all started in the pumpkin patch, where the kids paused for smiles while hunting for the perfect pumpkin to bring home with them. After that mission was accomplished, they headed to the entrance of the corn maze, testing their directional skills and enjoying plenty of laughs and smiles. You can't beat fun things like this to do together, especially when they don't cost a bundle of cash. Great way to make wonderful memories as a family.

IF you visit, call to see when they'll be launching pumpkins with their trebucheau;that alone is worth the trip!

Plenty of pumpkins in the north this year. Doesn't seem like there are quite as many in the south with the drought however.
We ended up getting back last night just before 7 in the evening and was greeted by 88 degree heat!! A far cry from the high 30s and rain/snow we left in Houghton Saturday morning. No matter; it was a grand time in the Keweenaw if only for a couple days. Even got treated to some nice fall colours although I would suspect the leaves are all gone by now with the winds over the weekend.

Next to the pretty autumn tree colors, my other favorite photos (in autumn) are pumpkins! Love 'em!

Ummmm, just cause you're in a maze doesn't mean you can't walk thru the rows if you're trapped and its getting dark........ and what a great idea to take a 3 week old baby in there too.

We just visited a pumpkin patch this weekend for our little holiday display. There were literally tons of pumpkins. It's a fun time of year.

Great fall pictures. This is my favorite time of year and I love corn mazes. Down this way in the thumb area is a really good 13 acre corn maze. I always take a map of the maze when we go in. Last year toward the end we got turned around and couldn't find our place so finally we spotted a little path someone had made for a quick out and we cheated too.
These pictures remind me of the Europapark where I'm working occasionally (for those who don't know me, that'd be in Germany). Part of their Halloween decorations are 160 000 pumpkins. By the way - hi all!
