By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:42 am:

Very nice pics!
Well, no satellite parts fell through my roof last night, so I guess I will cancel my appointment with my attorneys...Morr Samore and Gett Samore :)

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:46 am:

I have heard the firm, Dewey Cheatem and Howe are good attorneys.

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:49 am:

Good pics, especially the Autumn ones (like that Autumn scene on
the Eagle River).

Looks as if everybody slept in this morning!!

I especially enjoyed Mary's picture today. Any time there's fog on the lake, it's just beautiful!! Also like the Full Moon Rising one.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Mr. Deb and I are considering a feast of Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster. Have a $100 gift card to there. Would be a shame to miss out on the Endless Shrimp deal. I do love Red Lobster, especially when I don't have to pay, lol.

Have a great one!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 11:56 am:

Good one JT. I had to read it a few times, but then it finally sank in :) You'll have to cut me some slack because I have been crunching numbers at work all morning.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 01:59 pm:

Alex, I remembered that from a Three Stooges clip!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 02:36 pm:

Aren't they the same law firm Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard, and Dr. Fine use???

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 03:09 pm:

Yes, and they bought their fresh fish from Larry Hook, Moe Line, and Curly Sinker.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 03:59 pm:

Hmmmm; sounds like a fishstory to me....

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 04:49 pm:

Dean, was tempted to light the wood stove today but decided to just turn up the thermostat. Burned 5 cord of wood last year. Going to save some wood and wait till after the Bears kick the Packers butts tomorrow. :)

The leaves are really beautiful right now. Going to miss all of the trees this "deep winter".

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 05:13 pm:

Hollidays....pffffffffttttt we'll see who's butt gets kicked. :O>)

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 06:12 pm:

I believe the quote from the Three Stooges is," Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard". Moe Howard, Curly Howard, and Larry Fine were the Three Stooges. Having spent a good part of my teenage years watching them, I consider myself a semi authority on the Three Stooges. Watched a lot of Laurel and Hardy also. The Three Stooges are still on cable here in Berkley. But for some reason they are not as funny now. Must be me. Precious is taking me out to dinner to celebrate our forty fifth anniversary. Jimmie the fat white cat is staying home.

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 06:28 pm:

Congrats Mikie and Precious...45th, way to go! Take a doggie-bag (excuse me, kittie-bag) home to Jimmie.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 06:30 pm:

Mikie, you can catch clips of the 3 Stooges on youtube as well. Shemp, Curly and Moe were actually brothers, Curly the baby of the three. Never cared much for the Shemp episodes myself.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 06:33 pm:

Yes! Congratulations Mikie and Precious!! 45 years of marriage! I have the Two Stooges now for my Pasty profile picture.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 07:38 pm:

You would be correct, Mikie. It has been a long time since I've seen the episode so my memory was a bit foggy. The Stooges and Laurel/Hardy are my favourites from that era. Congrats Mikie and Precious for making it 45; hopefully she takes you to something a bit better than the place we meet on Greenfield/12 Mile!!! J

I also see Hollidays sure won't be getting her yooper card punched anytime soon with a comment against the Packers either.....

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:28 pm:

Congrats Mikie and Precious. Mr. Deb took me to Red Lobster today for shrimpfest. Hope she took you somewhere as nice. That way Jimmie could get some leftover fish. Cats love their fish.

Not a Stooges fan at all, but my hubby is. I didn't mind them too much when I was younger, but now I can't watch them. I'm in the minority, though. Most people really liked them.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:46 pm:

I never liked the three stooges, but, I had three stooges of my own growing up.....my brothers.

Mikie and Precious, wishing you a very happy 45th and many more.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 08:48 pm:

I wonder what is at Greenfield and 12 mile now? Long time since I was in that area.

By Dunerat (Dunerat) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 09:29 pm:

Happy 45th, Mikie and Precious!

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Saturday, September 24, 2011 - 11:32 pm:

Hi . . . I've just joined this forum and, although I have to go back to the winter home in Evanston IL this coming weekend, I will be getting my daily fix of the UP here.

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Monday, September 26, 2011 - 03:08 am:

Thanks everyone. Forty five years with the same person is quiet an accomplishment. Just patting myself on the back. Precious and I have been asked often the last few days what the secret is to being married this long. Beats us. Just happened. Being friends helped. Fighting fair also helped. Her threats of what she would do if I left, helped. Three kids and nine grand kids kept us together. Keeping my word, to love, honor, and obey, were more then words to live by. Then Jimmie the fat white cat came along. Neither of us would leave him.

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Monday, September 26, 2011 - 02:57 pm:

Sorry I'm so late with special anniversary wishes for you and Precious....Jim's says congrats, too! :-) Happy Anniversary, Mikie and Precious!!

By Dale Beitz (Dbeitz) on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 - 08:42 am:

Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe was also referenced on a fairly regular basis as his attorneys of choice during Johnny Carson's monologue.
