I have always wondered who lays claim to Mackinaw Island. The UP or LP?

Bob I think the UP

Technically, Mackinac Island is part of Mackinac County; therefore, it belongs to the U.P.

Ironically though, Bois Blanc Island is also part of Mackinac County, even though it is much closer to Cheboygan County in the Lower Peninsula.

Anyone who follows The Westminster Dog Show and who is familiar with Sadie the winning Scottish Terrier, Sadie's owners are the owners of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
