Capt. Paul (Eclogite):
Quote:I am from a place called the Keweenaw
It is a land of wonder and awe
It has copper and datolite
Silver and prehnite
No one has yet to find a flaw
Now I certainly am no expert on limericks, but it seems to me that just a few wee tweaks to the above (merely adjusting a few syllables) would make it fit the requisite (anapestic?) meter more accurately, to wit:
Quote:I'm from a place called the Keweenaw
A land of wonder and awe
With copper and datolite
Silver and prehnite
No one has yet found a flaw
What'cha 'tink, eh? Yes? No?
(Perhaps the first line still doesn't quite fit the meter?)
Anyone want ta try Finnish limericks? That should be a challenge! <grin>
