Another beautiful day in Eagle Harbor. I'm so relaxed I'm not even trying for the early bird!

To celebrate her 50th birthday,our daughter-in-law Kathy Heikkila swam across the Sraits of Mackinac in 2 hrs.and 10 minutes.Ozzie and Judy.

More grand photos. But my favorites are the frog from below, clever shot. And the dog on the innertube is super! :O>)

Ozzie and Judy, I'm impressed by your daughter-in-law and her swim across the Straits of Mackinac. Doing that at any age is amazing. I could hardly make the walk across the bridge last Labor Day. I know I couldn't make the swim. Tell Kathy congratulations for me.

A most interesting thing happened to the Dr. and I earlier today. We were at Great Sand Bay enjoying sweet treats from the JamPot when we were asked "Are you Capt. Paul and Dr. Nat from PastyCam"?? I answered of course and turns out it was Nate and Hillary Alwine, frequent posters to the PastyCam themselves, visiting the area.....

I guess the Dr. and I are more infamous than previously thought!! ;-)

Dan's 2002 frog pic has been a regular desktop background of mine. Something about the shades of green are just easy on my eyes. I get lots of inquiries about where I got it.

Congratulations to your daughter's big swim at age 50, that is SISU, Ozzie and Judy. Happy birthday Kathy.

Capt., you're not the only famous one. I got an e-mail from Kosk about meeting while we're all UP there, and she said she visited some of my old stomping grounds in and around Lake Linden. She said it seems that Mikie and I are famous. She even mentioned that it looked like the Captain and the Doctor aren't the only ones who are famous UP there, lol. Was quite the surprise to me and gave me my chuckle for the day.

Ozzie, congrats to your daughter-in-law. WOW!! That's awesome!!! I doubt it was bone chilling cold like The Big Lake, though. Been swimming down in that area at this time of year, and it's actually kind of warm. Of course, that's along the shoreline. I guess it would get pretty darn cold when you get out there a ways. Hope she wore a wet suit!!

Deb, Precious always tells me I am only famous in my mind. Can't wait for her to wake up so I can brag.
