We've come to the end of August and with it, the end of the summer season. As is our time honored tradition, we pause on this last day of the month, to remember those that have left us for their journey beyond. Today we recall these people:

Remembering Tony Kalcich today. I hung out with his daughter during all of our elementary school years. He was such a nice man. His family will miss him.

I'm thinking about and remembering my wonderful sister in law Ginny Koepel. I miss her so so much.

Always missing, always remembering my grandmother Nedra McEowen.

Thank you for that, Donna.....a thought that eases the hurt. In my thoughts everyday are my precious husband who left us on May 7th, one of my three sisters, Marjorie Waddell, who left us July 2010, my daddy, Luther Waddell, who passed away in Oct., 1993, and my mama, Macie Sweeney Waddell, who left us in June, 1989. My heart weeps. May God comfort all of us!

That is beautiful Donna. And it fits todays photo, which I think is a sunrise, not a sunset. A new beginning to the day and a new beginning as a person transitions from life on earth to whatever comes after.

Missing my Dad, George Kentala, who went home on August 12. Love you Dad.

REMEMBERING MY WIFE WHO WENT TO BE WITH HER LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST TWO YEARS AGO THE TENTH OF THIS MONTH. MISS HER MUCH

It's been a year last week that my "little girl" lost her husband. Time does go on but memories sustain us. Special prayers for our service people we lost, particulary the crashed helicopter in Afganistan. Peace be with their families and friends.

Schnippert who passed away early this morning. She
was a beautiful person inside and out and will be

Remembering Dan Urbanski who left us this month back in in 2004. He lives on through his stories and his photography. I do miss seeing his pictures on Pasty.com

Missing our friend Ray Lampi from Trenary, who died last Fri. the 26th. His funeral will be tomorrow in Chatham.

Ray Lampi was a good friend of my Dad's too. He was so sorry to
learn that he had died.

Elliott L. Nelson, age 89, passed August 29th. He was the last surviving of nine children born to John and Anna Nelson of Copper City/Allouez. He was preceded in death by Cliff, Bob, Art, Russ, Margie (Weymouth), Violet (Anderson), Jane (Bjorn), and my mom, Lillian (Whitten).

Remembering my son Glenn John Kijak II, he was 15 years old when he passed away on Aug 14 1998.
Not a day goes by without missing him.
