"That's an interesting anomaly I've never noticed. When the four messages were originally posted, they were all time-stamped with 8:01. Apparently Steve and Paul went back and edited their notes, re-stamping the time."
I have edited a number of my messages after the fact often more than a few minutes after the initial posting, and I have never seen them acquire a new date/time stamp. Nor will the "Messages since I last checked for new messages" search recognize them as 'new'. Likewise, the moderator's blue editorial comments added to a message also do not ever cause the message to be recognized as 'new'.
Charlie at Pasty Central (Chopper):
"To complicate matters, the re-stamped time is only on the moderator's dashboard."
That wouldn't surprise me an administrative 'feature' not shown to the general public!
