Quick on the draw this morning, Mikie

Way to go, Mikie. Lighthouse tours are awesome!!

Left the page for a couple of minutes and the pictures were there. The Big Traverse picture made me homesick. That's pretty much where we do our swimming when we're up there. The rest of the pictures are awesome too.

Have a great day today!!

Good Tuesday Morning!!

Speaking of boat tours, Dr. Nat and I are going to be taking the Pictured Rocks Boat Tour while we are up there this summer. It's been probably 25 years since I've been on them, and poor Nat has never been on the tours. Both of us have been to Pictured Rocks though, just from the shore doing geo work. I'm just hoping the weather holds and the lake is calm; we are taking the sunset cruise so if the sun is out, we should be able to get some phenominal photos....

Nice pics!
Enjoy the boat tour, Capt. It has been at least 45 years since I went on that tour. Of course, back then we had to paddle dug-out canoes and forage for nuts and berries along the way. :-)

We did that 2 years ago. I got so seasick. The waters were rough and I just couldn't take it because we were stuck below rather than on the top. Course, I think I would have frozen on the top, even though it was August. We got some really nice pix, too. We took the tour right before the sunset tour. I love pictured rocks. Hadn't been there since the early 80's and that was hiking there and spending time on the beach so you didn't get to see all the beauty of it. I recommend it highly.

Since I collect photos of cobwebs this one is so different must get a copy. How unique! Joyce has an eye for hidden beauties that is often missed. Thanks Joyce. ALSO...I'm asking again...what has happened to the Still Waters facility and those lovely gardens. Hope they aren't in disrepair. I've asked before but never read any response. Everybody be cool today...I am :)

The Pictured Rocks are awesome!! We did them on Uncle Chuck's jet skies many years ago. It was wonderful to be up close and personal... We should make that trip again soon!! Have a great Tuesday everyone. It's beautiful here at sunny Lake Charlevoix!

My husband and I did the Pictured Rocks tour last May and it was great. I really loved Spray Falls. 9 days and counting......

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 12:04 pm:

We're down to 8 days until we leave, but won't make the UP until the 29th. Have to come through the Lower first to visit family and friends.

Capt...are you doing this vaca in the RoadRunner?

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 03:37 pm:

Great, especially the early morning on Isle Royale and the watery web.

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 05:11 pm:

What a change in the weather, it's now 71°. Getting a great lake breeze and about ready to put on the sweatshirt. Big warm-up on Sunday, back to 90°, not gonna like that day. Warm days with humidity and southern winds = flies and skeeters. Cooking Vollwerth hotdogs on the grill. Have a great evening Yoopers, hope the weather is cool in your neck of the woods.

We leave tomorrow morning for the UP. We will only be in the east end but I love all of it.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 05:43 pm:

If I were Janie, I would definitely make time for the Woodward Dream Cruise and even give Mikie a ride!!

Sadly though, I must drive the Holden Commodore up instead..... ;-)
