WOW, what an exciting morning on Pasty Cam!! :)

Steve was first, I was second, Deb third and Mikie brought up the rear with a fourth. All at 8:am!

Oh woe is me. Got up early this morning to bag that bird. Only to be lost in the shuffle. Jimmie the fat white cat was so surprised to have me feed him, and let Precious sleep in. Things here have really changed since Precious retired. It is hard to give up control of the house after ten years of being alone.

Seems to me everyone this morning was having a Wide World of Sports "Thrill of victory, agony of defeat" moment trying to bag that 'ole bird.....

Interesting next couple of days I have; a college friend of mine is in town and since she is a huge baseball fan, I've decided to take her to see Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros. I just hope they have the roof closed and the a/c on because it could be a rather toasty tour today.

Grampa Norm would have been 86 today, hope he and my mom are livin it up in Heaven! Mom's bday was yesterday 84 I think. Little Betsy just isn't the same!

5 a.m. more straight line winds blew through in my neck o the woods. Power outages til about noon, corn fields blown down and destroyed, trees down, roof damages or blown off buildings/homes. What we have to put up with to just get a little rain!

Just heard on the news that the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School, in Vinton, IA., about 15 miles from me, the actual one that Mary Ingalls, (Little House on the Prairie), attended in her life suffered significant damage.

J.T.... that same storm just blew through our area (SE-MI) a couple of hours ago. I heard that Chicago was hit badly, but the storm fizzled out by the time it got to us. We have dodged a few bullets this year.

Sad about the storms, the gods have been angry this year. Worried about my boys down south.
On another note, the Porcupine Mountain fest will be going on soon, it's a great time.

I was gonna ask you if that was the school that Mary Ingalls went to, but then I kept on reading. That's so cool. I was never sure if the part about Mary going blind was true or not. Hopefully there was nobody hurt.

Yep it is the school Mary Ingalls attended. The roof was totally blown off. Pictures of the area and other hard hit areas can be seen at, KGAN.com or KCRG.com Looks like a war zone.
