Ok, maybe not 2001, although isn't the entire area known as "West Bluff", or are you just bluffing, Charlie?? J

I think 2008 is right, but I'm not too sure about 2001. That looks more like an eastern bluff to me. But what to do I know.

Up early?? I'm up this early every morning during the week for work; hence, the reason why I never get the bird on the weekends.....

No birds to listen to this time of year. The mockingbirds have had their little ones so no singing at 3 am as they do in the Spring.

Monday-Fridays, my day starts at 4 a.m., weekends start at 5:30 a.m. Best part of the day I say!

Same here Janie, although it's not because I particularly enjoy it. It's more out of necessity to beat the early morning rush of traffic. The other advantage is that my workday is done at 2:30pm so I can get home and enjoy the rest of the day/evening (and beat the 5pm rush).

Weekends at 5:30am???? I don't think so..... :-P

Deb S. - The 2001 picture is coming down the West Bluff. The east bluff is just visible at the top right of the picture. It's out beyond the end of US-41.

Oh now I really miss the UP!!! I love taking my vacations there, maybe next year.

Put up a "Support UP Mining" sign in our yard today. I feel good about that, we need to use our resources. Well, the Japanese came to see the copper refinery in White Pine the other day. The company is out of Detroit, I really hope they can make the refinery come alive again. Love living up here but I really feel sorry for the locals that can't make it, and there are a lot of them. Try to donate as much as we can to keep the people and town alive.
Woke up to the birds again, and loved it.
