Several of our Pasty Cam viewers were on hand in Marquette last weekend to snap a few shots of the Tall Ship, the Pride of Baltimore II, both at the dock and then on board. First Mike Schneider brings us a view of the ship docked at the lower harbor, as the crew was wrapping everything up to get the ship "just so." If you look up (on the left) just below the first cross member, you can see a crew member standing there. Mike also took the second photo, looking at the stern of the ship, showing the craftsmanship involved in reproducing a replica of these Clippers.

The remaining photos were taken by Brenda Leigh, who along with her hubby, Jim, went sailing on board the Pride of the Baltimore II and took plenty of photos. The tour lasted 2 1/2 hours and Brenda said they were even involved in bringing in the foresail. Those cannons you see on board, aren't just for decoration, either. Brenda said they were fired and were quite loud, even making her heart go boom. Surprisingly enough, they fired those cannons at the passing ships you see in the photos here, you can even see the smoke still in the air from it being shot like that. Pretty neat.

Brenda has a collection of 30 photos of her sailing experience, over in her Pasty Guest Gallery Album. You can watch a slideshow of them all, by clicking on this link: Sailing on the Pride of the Baltimore II.

Thanks to both Mike and Brenda for taking us on this sailing adventure, from the start at the dock to the actual sailing right there with the crew.

Beautiful sights! I especially love the 4th photo, with "Old Glory" waving in all its splendor! That's definitely a 'goosebump' picture!
