As you can see on the what's UP page, the final touch on publishing today's (Sunday's) Pasty Cam came at 11:59pm <<whew>>
At Pasty.NET we feel a real kinship with the workers in all the old mining photos and sketches. The only difference is that they went down in the earth for their jobs, and our work takes us high above the earth (sometimes). I'm referring to the task of maintaining the broadband relays around the Keweenaw Peninsula... places like the Quincy Mine shafthouse, the old radar base at Horace Greeley, church steeples, and even some towers (like the Mountain Lodge or the old Calumet Police Post). That's what had us tied up the better part of Sunday, and we almost didn't make it before midnight.
We had hoped to produce a Pasty Cameo about the Cliff Mine, but the summer rush of folks wanting to get on Pasty.NET has almost exceeded our ability to deliver. Maybe someday we will finish that Cameo, but now you have a better idea what it means when we've been delayed by "technical difficulties".
Have a good week :o)
