Nice photos. Also, on this date in 2011, yours truly walked from the U.S. to the Dominion of Canada via the 25th International Bridge Walk, June 25, exactly 6 months before Dec. 25 (get what I mean?).

Got it Thomas....SIX MONTHS TO CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

On another note, I found an old advertisement, for the "Watchorn Print and Gift Shop, Houghton Michigan. On how to "Glorify the Christmas Gift" with bows, etc...

Anybody got a clue?

It was a good day in Ontonagon today. The sun finally came out. Not too many birds are out, they must be nesting and having babies. I'm going to be nesting tonight, drinking a few brewskis, but, I sure ain't having no babies. :)

my little stinkers are coming out more and more. One little one came down the side of the driveway next to the truck. We were out there and heard a noise and there it was. It was funny when it stared at me, and stompted its front paws, then tumbled over itself trying to get back to the barn. They are cute but, I will be glad when they move on.

Donna---This is the second time I've typed this. Don't know why it didn't take before. My memory, which is getting dim, tells me Watchorn"s shop was in the first or second block from the bridge in Houghton, traveling north. Around 1936 I went there with my mother. When she was having a party she had them print up seating cards for the table. Watchorns did gift wrapping and speciality print such as calling card, announcements, etc. Small shop but high class.

mickill mouse While trying to trap neighborhood cats that were after my birds and chipmonks I have gotten many skunks. If you don't scare them and move slowly they behave. Have gotten young and old. When I saw the trap visitor wasn't a cat I would just open the front door of the trap and they would timidly step out and then run in their cute way. Cute from the rear anyway. When I was in retail business a gal would bring her pet skunk in so I could see it grow. Slight body odor but it didn't linger in the store.

Interesting...thanks Richard!

HI RICHARD. I know better then to chase them or anything like that but, these are little, tiny ones and I just wanted to take a couple pictures of it. I was told when they get old enough, the mom will take them back up into the woods, we hope so. When they are out and about, we do not bother them, we just watch them from a distance AND we DO NOT feed them anything. A lot of times when we have to get in the yard, they just go back to where they are staying. They are, right now, just cute to watch.(*_*)

Thanks Richard.
