You're right Deb, it is upside down and backwards. That to me would spell "trops", but what do I know :)
Nice pics, by the way!

Haven't heard of any major uproars in the CC, so can only guess that Uncle Chuck is behaving himself to some extent!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, June 17, 2011 - 01:05 pm:

Give it time, jbuck; you can't keep a good man down for long (though I debate the "good" part, after all, this IS Uncle Chuck we're talking about!!) ;-)

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, June 17, 2011 - 02:48 pm:

Good.

Hi Yoops, just letting you know how the fish fry went yesterday. Best walleye in the world, no fishy smell, no fishy taste. When you catch them and filet them, put them in a freezer bag filled with salt water. It gets the blood out and turns the meat white. The next day drain the fish, rinse and put them back in a freezer bag with water and salt. Freeze or use the next day.

Looks like that bear is sitting down and holding that pole so it does not fall over. LOL...LOL

Oh, leave it to a Husky to take a crack at us Wildcats!

FJL (Langoman) ~

I miss seeing your posts!

Take care ~

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, June 17, 2011 - 08:54 pm:

Why would I want to go through all the trouble of salting and freezing fresh caught walleye when I could just fillet them out and fry them on the spot?? Isn't that why the term "shore lunch" was coined?? Besides, if walleye are cleaned properly, there should be no blood in the meat at all; are you sure those are walleye you're eating?? J

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, June 17, 2011 - 10:35 pm:

I'm with you Capt!! That's what we do too. Why do I not want them to taste like fish? They ARE fish and I love fish!! That's how I feel, anyway. Yum, yum!!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Saturday, June 18, 2011 - 07:48 am:

Pardon me yoops but, we caught so many walleye that we couldn't possibly cook them all in one day. We went with a local fishing guide who's lived here all of his life. He must not know what he's doing. :)
