Both of these graduations today, took place a few weeks back, but I just couldn't resist slipping the photos in now anyway, since they're so darn cute and look so excited and proud. The first three shots are from Amy Cloutier and were taken at her nephew's preschool graduation in the Marquette area. Just look at all those smiling faces, standing before a crowd of proud parents, grandparents and friends. Amy also captured the traditional "walk" the graduates make to the front of the room, along with a shot of her nephew receiving his diploma, officially sending him on to the big world of Kindergarten.
Speaking of Kindergarten, a little further northwest of the first graduation, the Lake Linden-Hubbell Kindergarten class had their graduation day, too. Trina Anderson was behind the camera for the last three photos, which include her daughter, telling the audience what she wants to be when she grows up... her choice was a dentist. When the LLHS graduation was complete inside, the kids and balloons from on stage, heading outside, where they released the balloons and watched them soar into the sky. What a neat symbolism for the kids to see that they can reach for the sky in their future education and soar like the blue and gold balloons!
Tomorrow's leaders!

I like to ask kids how many times they would like to graduate. It gets them thinking about progressive education.
