The deer are out and about, all over the Copper Country and Deb Simons, along with Mr. Deb (Ron), discovered recently just how brave they can be. The top two photos were snapped in the middle of the day, right in her Mom’s backyard and the deer didn’t seem to mind that Deb was out there snapping pictures of her, while she nibbled on the trees and neighbor’s flowers. I spotted the beautiful lilacs in the background and wondered why that deer wasn’t munching on them.

The bottom two photos come to us from Ginny Jamison, who also gave us the low-down on this beautiful little creature.

“Some friends arrived to open their cottage and almost stepped on this fawn in the deep grass they were planning to cut. The fawn stayed motionless, but moved closer to the house during the next night and finally left the night after that. The fawn has left, but cute pix remain!”
How lucky we are here UP North to be able to live right alongside nature, in all its beauty.

Oooohhhhhh!! Thanks for using my pix, Mary!! I was so surprised to see her that early in the day. It was about 1:00!! She looks so hungry to me:( And she was there for quite some time, showing no need to hurry.

Wish I'd have been able to get a couple of pix of that bear that ran out in front of us, also. But he was in a hurry!!

The pix of the fawn are adorable. How I wish I would have run into something like that. Good memories!!

Amazing photos, Deb and Ginny. How fortunate you were to
capture the scenes and how fortunate we are to be able to share
them.

While out & about last weekend we saw several does out 'alone' during the day and were sure the fawns were stashed nearby. Even had one in the garden (tho didn't get a great shot like Deb did!) which, like this one, looked a little lean.

Oh, deer. {lol}

ohhhh I just LOVE today's photos! Deer are among the most beautiful and graceful of God's creatures!

Beautiful photos today. I love the little fawns. The deer are cute but they sure do cause a lot of damage to crops and vehicles. Down here in Menominee County they are like cattle. My hubby calls them "his herd." They have wiped out a lot of my gardens already. Jumped the fence somehow.
