We drove up to Copper Harbor from Houghton on both Thursday and Friday last week, Mary. Thursday afternoon was awesome, after the sun came out. It was really windy, but there was blue sky, so Superior was a gorgeous blue with big rolling waves, like the ocean. And, the waterfalls were roaring. The waterfall and lake sounds standing near Eagle River great on Thursday. We even saw a freighter at Eagle Harbor. On Friday, there was almost no wind, and the waterfalls seemed to have slowed down a bit. Friday, we went up Brockway Mountain Drive. That road really suffered over the winter, and is in real need of repair. I really wished I had a camera with me, but unfortunately, I left it back at home. We saw more deer, both in Copper Country, and on our trip home to mid-Michigan, then I remember seeing before on those roads.
Thank you, Capt. Paul & Deb! :-)
