Formerly known as and often still referred to as the "sands," this Nature Trail in Lake Linden is a real gem. It's so nice to be able to take a walk in such a rural setting, without having to drive out into the country to do so. You can see that the scenery looking back toward town is quite nice, along with looking toward the homes along the Bootjack Road. Then you make the bend coming back around to the front of the sands and you can look right down the waterway, toward Mason. With my lens zoomed to the max, there's even a view of the dredge and the smokestack that's still standing nearby. It's a great place to take your morning walk to start the day or an evening walk to unwind after all the hustle and bustle is done.
P.S. Just want to say thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday! :->

I wish I knew the area when my mom lived there in the 20's. Probably not so sightly but sure is lovely now. Another place to visit next time. Thanks Mary for sharing. It does look restful.

Mary, Thank you for these pics. I get so homesick sometimes. Seeing the pistures always make me feel better. Hey, Cuz, a belated Happy Birthday. Sorry I missed yesterday. Theresa
