Michelle Jeffery along with the girls in her family, recently took a hike to the Hungarian Falls and shared these photos, so we could enjoy the day, too. You can see that it's an uphill hike on the way to the falls and once you arrive, you know it was all worth it, to see the power of the water as it rushes on it's way. That's Michelle's niece standing in front of the falls and the roaring flow, all foamy white. From the smile on her face, you can tell it was a good day and the falls were a big hit. Thanks for taking us along, Michelle!

Regarding yesterday's posts about Garden City Dam,unless someone repaired it and it washed out again this spring, it actually washed out last summer or early fall. I remember talking about it with folks at the Fall E.R. potluck in October.Got a few pictures of it ,apparently right after it happened. When I mentioned it to local folks,they were completely unaware of it,including the couple that live just downstream from the dam. Damage was minimal or non-existant.

How's the hike to Hungarian Falls? Maybe this will be the summer I can accomplish that. Wish I could come up in the Spring!

It looks like the trail is what an old camping buddy of my parents would call an "R & R" trail: Roots and Rocks.

Nice to see calm sunny spring weather, if only in pictures.
