Won't be too much longer until Dr. Nat and I are doing that very same thing on a sandy beach of Lake Superior (the construction crew, not the metal bucket!!); who says kids have to have all the fun?? ;-)

Wetlands are "GOOD" in ways that can't be quantified or even communicated unless you already understand. A wetland should be more than just protected....It should be visited....often and long

I agree about the wetlands! 5 of our 20 acres is wetlands. It is so interesting to watch the various birds that make their homes down there. Not to mention how soothing the peeper frogs are to hear!

The Tioga Creek Park pic is especially scenic.

Nice review today, really like the 2008 mouth of the Montreal, we go out there with are boats every year, then to Keystone, over to High Rock Bay, out to Manitou and back to Lac La Belle. Nice boat ride, miss it don't you Norma & Charlie?

32 Days until the lake for me! Can't wait to see the cottage, the lake, the Harbor (take your pick as to which one!), the lighthouses........

the eagles, the mergansers, the sand, the rocks, the spring flowers but not the bugs!

Thanks UC, the bike is ready. Now I'm waiting for those sweet 70 and 80 degree days with no rain.

One can go wrong with The Portage Lake Lift Bridge if your on the wrong side when the temp reaches 100 and it fails to work..

Depends; which is the wrong side?? ;-)
