Yes there was 5 in the field, and one flew into the pine tree at the edge of the field. There was also two adults sitting across the road in a tree that are in my gallery, for a total of 8. Dinner was down in the ditch so I think that is what drew the crowd. Yes the heart was pounding when we came upon that seen, I was riding shotgun so it was Lindsay's Eagle eyes that spotted all the excitement going on in that field. Along with this site we spotted 5 other eagles that day including two young, maybe year olds? Big birds but they did not have there white heads and tails yet. I wish we would have stopped to catch a picture just up the road with the est 75 deer in it. I have to say that was the most deer I have ever seen in one field along with the biggest group of eagles I have ever seen together. That is short of driving over to the Mississippi during the winter when you can see hundreds of them in the trees.
