What time was it when Taka Aoki took the shot included in today's slide show?

Shallow rivers and shallow minds are the first to freeze over...we can't actually say AM or PM, 5:12 would be dark both morning and evening,DUH!

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 07:28 am:

I would say it is in the A-M because there is nobody on Shelden Ave, coming home from work or wherever, and the street is clear to plow.;O), They plow early in the mornings.

By Donna (Donna) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 07:43 am:

Mickill Mouse...excellent detective skills! I'd have to go with the am time frame too....otherwise, that street would be packed with folks heading home!

BTW...does anyone ever hear from Taka? I hope all is well with him!

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 07:56 am:

I thought about the AM PM issue and decided to just post the time. I agree, though, that's it's AM.

Taka was a great photographer. He had a web site for a while after he returned to Japan, but then it was gone. I always hope he'll look here and post us a message.

By Kenty (Dashamo) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 08:43 am:

I agree with am also. 5:12 pm this time of year is still daylight, assuming the picture was actually taken on this date in 2003.

I was just thinking of Taka. Has anyone heard from him? He took some great pictures for Pasty.com.

By Donald R. Elzinga (Donagain) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 10:31 am:

There is a Taka Aoki that is president of Japan Advertising?
Perhaps this might be a common name in Japan?
Google brings up some possible contacts.

MAIJA; You did great getting the early bird. Did not ask for A-M OR PM ;O)

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 02:22 pm:

thanks mickill. What I really want, though, is the coveted 'ird'

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 02:28 pm:

The "ird" is the hardest to achieve! I think that one is the best! Cracks me up!

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 05:28 pm:

I got a couple 'irds' before. I always called it the part that went over the fence last.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 10:22 pm:

I'm still wondering which "ird" of the bird you're actually getting???? It does make a difference if you think about it!! J

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 11:37 pm:

Forget the "Irds"!

Today's review was terrific, thanks! quite honestly, let the "bird" go, let's focus on the pics if you ask me! The deer on the bridge is priceless! Same with the Eagle, and the Huts at Bohemia, forget the bird! It's a waste!
