Bob Gilreath is an all-around Huskies fan, attending many athletic events, including the Tech Women's Basketball games, as you can see in his first two photos. The lady Huskies team has grabbed the #1 spot in the NCAA Midwest Region rankings this week. These rankings are used to determine which teams will be in the NCAA Tournament. Their regular season wraps up this weekend. That's Angela Guisfriedi, a Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes Alumnus, bringing the ball up the court in the top shot and some good blocking taking place in the second photo.
A big part of all the athletic events at Michigan Tech is the Huskies Pep Band, ever present in their gold and black striped pants. They don't always get the credit they deserve, since they put in plenty of time practicing and cheering on the Huskies teams. Go DaWGs!
The last two photos are from one of the men's basketball games. Bob snapped the first of the two, at just the right time, since he caught the Tech player in the middle of the photo, performing some levitation magic...he looks like he's standing on air! The men's regular season ends this week also and on a winning note, too, which hasn't been done since the 2004 - 05 season. Congrats to both the women's and men's Huskies basketball teams!

Nice! I used to have a mean hook shot when I was a kid. The neighbor's son put up a hoop last year and I tried that famous hook shot and almost put it through the front window of their house. Does anyone remember the song "Basketball Jones" by Cheech and Chong?

What great photos! Thanks! Angela was one of my all time favorite athletes to watch at Lake Linden over the years. She was such a dedicated and hard working student and athlete and just an all around nice person!
