Strange winter so far, lost a lot of snow. The winter sports are at a stand still. No sound of the snowmobiles, no signs of cross-country skis, no good ski hills in the porkies.

Temps are in the 20s and lake effect snow is in the future.

Throwing another log in the wood stove, stay warm Yoops. Also having another beer. :)

That's interesting. I think that John Dee mentioned in his blog yesterday that he got about a foot of snow at his place in the Keweenaw this weekend. He also mentioned snow mobiling last week. And Tech's web cams look like Houghton got a good 6 inches in the last day or two. I don't know where you live, though, so maybe it's not Copper Country?

Marianne, that is how I read John Dee's blog too. Also had some friends return from the U.P. yesterday, they said there was plenty of snow. Maybe Holliday should back off on the beer's!
