Laura Gauthier took two of her kids and a friend, to Marquette Mountain, skiing recently and from the smiles on their faces, I'd say they were having a good time. Laura said the next trip to the ski hill is going to include her 3 year old, too. It always amazes me how these little ones can just hop on a pair of skis and take off like it's no big deal and usually without ski poles to help steady them. Of course kids are usually a bit more flexible than us "mature" folks and they don't usually have that fear of falling and breaking every bone in their body. ;->

Boy..how true Mary. I get thrilled just standing on my own two feet...much less adding something that'll help me to get horizontal fast! LOL

It is always great to see kids out and about playing.

Oh Yeah!!!! Lets give a big HOORAYYYYY for the parents AND grandparents who get the kids out and about...or to who ever it is that get them out and about.

I remember my mom telling us, 'I do not care if there is not anything to do outside, just GET outside.'

Agreed!! Do your kids a favor and get them outdoors!

I'm not sad, but I'm feelin' kinda blue today after looking at the pics.

I tried skiing once at the Porkies and went down this one hill that was particularly scary and when I got to the bottom I saw that it was a DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND, for Pete's sake! And I didn't know how to ski; not then and not now. I've tried since then and can't do it. I sure don't know how I made it down that hill without falling. If there had been a lottery back then, I should have bought a ticket, or two.

While at NMU, we used to borrow the trays from the cafeteria and goin "Trayin" at that mountain, what fun!

We "Trayin" at that mountain really sledding? I think I heard my oldest son talk about doing that once when he was at Tech.
