maija in Commerce Township (Maija):
"You can go back and vote, but another vote for the same place in one day will not count. (except from another computer?)"
How can you tell whether your vote counted or not?
1. The first time I visit that site, when I click on the Vote for this idea button:
I get a pop-up window with a log-in invitation, including the "crazy text" to enter.
When I enter all the requested information and click on the Sign In button the pop-up window goes away, and I presume the vote was counted.
2. If I immediately try to repeat the process (using the same browser, and without leaving the site) by clicking on the Vote for this idea button again, I do not get another pop-up log-in invitation, instead the dark blue field on the right side of the image changes to this:
... and I do not get a second pop-up window, so evidently I can't vote again during one visit to the site.
However, If I go there again, later in the day, I can complete another sequence as in (1) above. Did that vote count? It would appear that it did.
If I immediately try to repeat the process a second time, I get the same result as in (2) above.
So it would appear that I can vote once per visit, on any number of visits per day.
In fact, while collecting the images for this post I was apparently able to vote once from the Firefox browser, then a second time using MS Internet Explorer, all within mere minutes.
All of the above using only one single email address.
So the question remains: How do I tell if/when a vote counts?
