Happy New Year to all Pastycamers. The fog picture reminds me of during my short sailing days aboard the CRISPIN OGLEBAY we were downbound for Toledo and the fog set in as we passed Port Huron. I went off watch then but as I woke the next morning to the eerie feeling on not moving forward I stepped out on the deck and noticed the combined efforts of Captain Koski and 2nd Engineer Carl Makkinnen we were anchored in the St Clair River. After obtaining my first cup o joe I looked ashore and saw people driving real slow in their '55 Galixies as they approached the small white church all enveloped in the fog as shown in todays picture. One of the many memories a Yooper boy has of sailing freighters 50 years ago.

And what an amazing memory you have, Eddie Fitz. I always enjoy
your vivid stories of your sailing days.
