Over the weekend the village of Lake Linden was bustling with Christmas activities, from a tree lighting, a parade, dancing, a craft fair, visits with Santa and carolers, too. Kelly Destrampe snapped a couple photos of Girl Scout troop #5362, as they readied themselves for a caroling ride through the streets of the town. The girls look so festive all dressed in red, green and smiles! What fun activities for our kids to be involved in, learning early-on to give to the community by participating in festivities like this.

Just in case seeing these Girl Scouts gets you to wondering about the cookies they sell and when, the sign on the back of their float says that Girl Scout cookie sales begin on January 21st. For all you cookie lovers out there in Pasty Land, that's one month from today!

When they come to my house selling cookies, I usually make that young lady the top seller in her troop, then I pass them on to my customers, I guess Im an easy sale, I can't say no, lol

I'm so excited.Seeing this parade picture reminded me that I just ordered a Stormy Kromer for my Domer for winter time in Michigan. Made in the U.S.A.

All in good humor..but after yesterday, I have to giggle at Uncle Chuck's double posting! :)
