The Marquette Harbor Lighthouse always stands out with it's bright red paint-job, but when the leaves have all fallen and the ground is covered in white, it seems to really jump out at you. Cindy Freeman framed the red of the keepers quarters, which seems redder, almost as if it's been enhanced, even when we know it hasn't. Whomever picked out that shade of red knew exactly what they were doing, because if we see it so vividly from standing right there on land, just imagine how much it stands out for the freighters that are still passing by with their cargo. I'm sure the captains and sailors enjoy seeing it and even more-so when the weather isn't so clear.

Another great pic of Jbuck's and mine adopted home, thanks Mary! I used to live across the street from the lighthouse while attending NMU. Living right on the water as a Junior was great, fantastic memories!

Beautiful photo! Just wish I'd had that view to copy when I painted that lighthouse as a mural on my stairway wall.

I believe the majestic MARQUETTE LIGHTHOUSE is now part of the MARQUETTE MARITIME MUSEUM and is open to guided tours.

Wow ~ you lived high on the hog UC! The best i ever did was the Spooner converted apartments... (not having a car was a major factor!)

I was thinking Mary chose these shots to honor last night's WINNERS!

UC, i graduated from NMU in '77.

I think the Pier was the bar where our prof held our Friday CPA review class. Not a great idea as far trying to learn the material!
