Tradition for this day throughout the years, has been to gather with family and celebrate with a turkey dinner accompanied with all the trimmings. Michele Maatta has set our table today, with a pumpkin theme centerpiece to make the celebration festive looking. Then Tina Hyrkas provides us with a colorful reminder of what the day is all about... Give Thanks! So let's everyone take some time today and be thankful for the good things in our lives. It's not always the big things that count the most, it's sometimes the little blessings in our lives that make the biggest difference. I'll start...
Today, I am thankful for the unconditional love of my three beautiful, healthy Grandchildren, with the fourth due to arrive any day now. There is nothing so pure as the love of a child.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here in the Keweenaw at Pasty Central, to all of you out there in PastyLand.

Michele Maatta!! And I have to wonder did she make the doily as well? I have some snowflakes she made me, some angels, an afghan, and a vase the woman did with rocks and caulk. It is FABULOUS!
And I was cruising Pasty this morning, and listened again to the cameo honoring the Edmund Fitzgerald: https://www.pasty.com/cam/2010/11/10/cameo/index.html (close your eyes and listen to Gordon Lightfoot....you can feel that in your heart...amazing...) And I was thinking I'm thankful for the time spent with various and assorted folks from the Keweenaw. Dale, Neil, Stringy, Tatrow, Two-Ply, Mario, Reggie, Rainbow, etc.....that's who taught anyone to RESPECT, love and honor Lake Superior...(and they also taught us a lot about Patriotism!)
And I sure am thankful for Family and Friends...Love you all!
Blessings on this Thanksgiving Day!

Happy T-Day! The most important thing to remember is to be thankful. The second thing to remember is that it is harder to take it off than it is to put it on. So take control of those pie holes when you put on the feedbag today.

A Happy Thanksgiving to all, especially our Pasty.com family. We will have the full fare of bird, dressing, pies etc today with our now extended family. I did have a few of these dinners aboard 2 freighters in the past, as great as they were it was always a lonely occasion. Today we will be down in "Buckeye Territory" just a few days before the big MEECHIGAN-Ohio State game.

I'm thankful for my loving husband & best friend Rick for all of our years together. "What a difference you made in my life" as the song goes. And also to our kids & grandkids who also mean the world to me. It's also great to be able to communicate with such wonderful people who come into my life on a daily basis on Pasty.com. You can form friendships without even knowing the people. Thanks to technology. And I'm thankful for living in the USA, & our military who are protecting me every day. I'm thankful for the Lord above who is with me always. I hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. If you know someone who is alone, send a plate of food over to them or better yet have him/her for dinner. That's a tradition at our home.

Why, Yes, Donna, I did make that doily as well. And the pumpkins got baked up after they made that delightful centerpiece :) Thanks so much for the wonderful compliments. A right fine holiday to all of you, as well.

And, Thanks to Donna for re-posting that link regarding the memorial to the Edmund Fitzgerald. That brings me to tears every time. Pasty did such a WONDERFUL job honoring those brave men. Very touching to see the names and faces of those lost.
