While I'm on the Memory Lane page, it was 72 years ago tonight CBS Radio broadcast Orson Welles' "Mercury Theatre of the Air" doing a broadcast of H.G. Wells "War of the Worlds," causing many people across the U.S. to believe the World was being invaded by creatures from Mars.

Looks like one Mega Ticket from Gladstone won the $140,000,000.00 grand prize last night. Hope it was a Yooper that lives in the area,congrats!

Hmmm...let’s see, do I have any relatives in Gladstone? If not, I am available as an adopted son.

Hi. The Copper Country Ambulance Barn dropped to 15th place from yesterday to today, fyi. That's still significantly better than we did in the September contest. We're doing better! It's looking like we will be rolled over to the November contest.

Marianne, It is a nice win, but it's still only Div. II football, let's talk Div. I Hockey where it really matters. The GLIAC football is just cute compared to the Big Boys, let's see em strap on the skates an make the U.P. proud! Go Tech Hockey, Go NMU Hockey, Go Lake State Hockey at least it's Div. I ! And, alot turn pro and make the NHL!
