Oh my goodness. Where is everyone this fine fall day? Another grand bunch of photos. Enjoy while we can. But then soon will come the stunning black and white wonder of the bare trees sketched against the clean pure snow. Wonders never cease in world of those who know how to look.

Good morning! It's a cloudy/foggy day here in mid-Michigan, and it was this morning in Houghton, too, at least from what I saw on the Tech web cams.

If you're like me, you have a lot to get done today. But please remember to vote for the Copper Harbor Ambulance Barn:
http://www.refresheverything.com/copperharborambulancebarn?utm_source=em
The need for having an ambulance up there, not just for Copper Harbor, but for the whole northern Keweenaw peninsua, was underscored by the horrific accident on Saturday on US 41, the covered road, just past a blind curve, outside of Copper Harbor. According to one Tech father, they had three ambulances heading up there. He came upon the accident shortly after it happened. He was thankful for the man who got there before he did and stopped traffic, to try to prevent an even worse accident. The dad's guess was it would take the ambulances an hour to get up there after the accident. That gets past the golden hour where lives and function might be saved. Would it have helped to have one in Copper Harbor, to save the life of the person who died? We'll never know. The man's son said that you have just seen all of the Keweenaw ambulances roll, Dad! That gave me goose bumps when I read that on the Tech Parents web site! And that was a single vehicle accident. What if multiple vehicles had been involved? (Four other people were injured, one seriously, and all were taken to hospitals, per the Mining Gazette.)

Vote for Ontonagon School, Movin' UP. We need your help. When you get the link, sign up, go to Gallery, type Ontonagon in "Search". It will come up as "Ontonagon, MN", but, it's right here, at home, Michigan. Thanks folks.
