The beaches here UP North take on a change with fall in the air now, too. Sometimes not as drastic, since there aren't quite as many trees along Superior's shores, but Joyce Tormala was able to capture the essence of the fall change there, quite well. Champ looks happy to be running around with a stick to carry and I'm sure part of his pep is due to the cooler temperatures being more tolerable for racing around.
Speaking of racing around, Joyce also captured this small herd of white tails as they kicked up their heels and ran amongst the changing colors of the woods. If it weren't for those bright white tails standing up like a flag in the air, you might not even notice the deer right away, as they blend into their surroundings. Colors and cavorting in the Keweenaw.

Pleasant pics to start the day! Do I see Uncle Chuck somewhere in that tree line?

I was thinking the same thing, Janie. Seems odd to not have Paco in a Joyce photo......

Beautiful pictures today, with all that color in the background....love it! (Champ looks a lot like John Dee's Millie) Labs are so sweet-natured. FJL, our daughter had a golden retriever and a lab, and both loved to not only retrieve firewood, but also chew it up! :>

I had a shepard that played tennis with me, well, almost. I would practice sometimes in a handball court and the serves I messed up on, he would get the tennis ball for me and bring it back. The only thing I could not get him to do was drop it back into the bucket. Once he got the ball for me he would go back and sit til the next time. I had a certain set of tennis balls that I kept just to play with him.;O)

Hi As regards the deer, I heard on TV that Michigan has the third highest rate of car vs deer crashes in the US.
Thanks for the pictures of fall color & today's beach scene; it helps to take even a 60 second vacation from work.
