seven days and counting, till are weekend in Copper Harbor.

I wonder, with the MAJOR COMMUNICATIONS OUTAGE IN THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA NORTH OF HANCOCK yesterday, if this will be the first day in the history of Pasty.Net that there won't be an update to the daily photo? The break sounds pretty serious.....

I was thinking the same thing, Capt. There are still working on fixing the fiber cut on a AT&T cable south of Calumet. No AT&T telephone, cell and internet service.

The AT&T fiber cut in the Keweenaw Peninsula reduced Pasty.NET's capacity to the Internet, and interrupted all DSL and dial service. We hope to have the Pasty Cam on later today.

...and by 1:30pm we did!

Sat in the doctor's office today for a while. Kept looking at a beautiful UP picture of a trout stream. The background was pines and maples. In the stream there was driftwood and rocks. An eagle was diving into the water, going after a brook trout. I said to myself; "Wow, what a great picture." Then, I realized; I live right down the road from all this beauty.

The leaves are falling today and the colors, oh, the colors, are breathtaking. It's a beautiful fall.

All good and historic pics. I especially like the 1st and 2nd ones.

Wishing Uncle Chuck and Marty a great trip to the Copper Country. They leave tomorrow! Wish I was going too. Look out Pasty family, they will be running the roads!!

Uncle Chuck & Marty, wishing you a great trip up to Copper Country! Sometime in the future, I hope to get up there during a beautiful color season! Maybe you could take a couple of digital pictures of the reds & oranges up there, since the colors are supposed to be wonderful this year to share with us on Pasty? I hope you have a safe trip with good weather, without all of the rain and wind that has been up there some, recently. :-)

I LOVE the 2004 picture. That, to me, would be a fun afternoon to just walk around and look for those rocks.;O)

Chuck & Marty,have a great time up here in the UP when it really shows off its abundance of beauty. The colors are just magnificent. I saw alot of color while driving back from Lansing yesterday too. But I think the colors in the UP are Something Special.
