I have to say that that picture looks more like we're looking towards Point Abbey than being at Point Abbey and looking towards the Keweenaw. I was told by one of my Mom's cousins that he, his Dad and a friend drove out there on the ice to go fishing with the friends Model T when he was a young kid. This trip started at Jacobsville. They took a couple planks with them to help bridge any small cracks they came across. Brave? Foolish? or Dedicated? You pick

We'll be coming UP tomorrow and doing a Keweenaw Day (dinner at the Harbor Haus), a Porkies Day (dinner at Ambassador or Irene's in Baraga)and hopefully we'll be making the trip out to Pte. Abbaye.

Great pictures, especially the red + yellow maple leaves and the circular tree. It reminds me of a tree in the yard of the house I grew up in in Midland (it had a twisted branch, I think).
