Good Morning from the Soo. Well, it looks to be a very good day in the U.P. Currently 69º and climbing. I better head to the Lake and spend a sunny day on the beach. It may be the last one before Labor Day. lol

Good Morning! It is a lovely day here in Copper Country. Yesterday was not so lovely, but late in the day, we enjoyed a drive to Bootjack and out to the park at South Entry, before going up to Grand Traverse Bay, and over to Calumet. The was our first trip to Bootjack and Grand Traverse Bay. We had a great dinner at The Hut last night. Today we are going up to Copper Harbor, taking the scenic route on the way up & the covered road on the way back. We have to be back early because my son's Freshman Orientation at Tech starts at 6:30. Have a good day.

I thought everyone might like to see a really neat shot we got while up for the Quincy Mine Mineral Swap on August 11. During the event, there was quite a storm with heavy rain that moved through. After the rain ended and the sun came back out, this is what the participants were treated to:
