It's not very often that you see Lake Superior as calm as it is in Katie Tormala's first photo. Perfect water conditions for her kayak to glide along smoothly toward the clouds off in the distance. Then Katie captured another water scene involving some interesting clouds that are filtering the rays of the sun making the sky seem bluer and the water of the Big Lake almost gray. Over in Big Bay, near Marquette, Doug Grusser found the last photo, with nightfall just in the early stages over Lake Independence. I love this time of the evening, where the setting sun is brightening and coloring the clouds and sky.

Relaxation...peace...I think I've heard of those... I haven't personally experienced them in a while. Thanks for the views.
I like the last photo showing the wild iris. If the picture is current, it's a reminder that the flower schedule is different Up North.
