Summer in the Copper Country wouldn't be complete without at least one family camping trip. So, Laura Zerbst and her family packed up and headed to Fort Wilkins State Park to spend some time communing with nature (or close to it at least). This is certainly a good way for the family to spend some quality time together, playing games around the campground, sifting sand through your fingers, swinging around the playground and splashing in Lake Superior's waves. Now truthfully, does it get any better than this?

Looks like fun. We went camping all the time when the boys were little. I found I got tired of doing everything. Now I camp in motels, lol!!

Simple pleasures at the waters edge. You don't need a water park or a fancy amusement park. Teach kids the joy of just being in the fresh air and sunshine. I was in my kayak two weeks ago and still thinking about the clear water and the view. Three weeks to go and I'll be in Copper Harbor again. Can't wait.
