We've been having some very warm days here in the Keweenaw this summer, so the kids are finding ways to have fun and stay cool, like Kassy Kallio's youngsters. There are times when you just can't make a visit to Lake Superior, so Mom set them up with a Slip n Slide and a hose and they were set for the rest of the afternoon, running, slipping and sliding away. Sure looks like fun, but I don't think I'll be taking any running starts and flopping down on my stomach to slide in the water anytime soon. Those days are long gone! :->

These fun shots remind me of a slide-party we had on the Pasty Cam during this week back in 1998:
Uplifting photos! What a great way to start the day...smiling faces.

At the age of nearly 31, our daughter still has a slip-n-slide, and host slip-n-slide parties.

Love the expression on the little tyke's face in the 3rd photo "Going Down". There's nothing like good ol' homemade fun for kids today!. My summer cool-down during the hot southern days was to sit in one of my mama's galvanized washtubs filled with nice cool water....where'd I'd sit for hours and when I'd get out, my skin would be all crinkly.:D

I recall Slip and Slides in the 1960s when we were kids? I wonder when they ever invented?
