The first of the month is always extra busy here at Pasty Central. We were a little late awarding the Early Bird, but thanks for all of the good answers.

I'm closer to Norma: I saw 20-plus hats, 21-plus, if you count the cloud/fog on the bridge as a hat. :-)

We have hats and caps. Hats: A covering for the head, one with a shaped crown and brim. Cap: A usually soft and close-fitting head covering, either brimless or with a visor. Hats 9, Caps 17, Total lots

Lots of good pictures today, hats or no! A friend of mine just returned from a trip to the Keweenaw from the Flint area. She asked me what a cudighi is, because her husband had wished he had ordered one that he saw on a menu. My husband had one once several years ago. Can you refresh our memory as to what makes a sausage sandwich a cudighi?

A heck of a way to start a new month and the last half of 2k10!

A Cudighi is a spicy italian sausage patty sandwich served on a hoagie roll with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. What makes it different is the clove and cinnamon that is used as a couple of the many spices in the patty. I always thought Ralph's in Ishpeming had the best ones, but several other places have them, including the Ambassador.

Gosh, now your making me hungry......

The Coachlight res. in Marquette serves a pretty good Cudighi as well.
