Chris and Jessica Gariepy recently took their boys to the beach and it looks like they may have had it all to themselves. They were out at Big Traverse Bay, where the Lake Superior shoreline is beach sand and for the most part, free of rocks. That top photo of big brother, boosting his little brother up the sandbank with a push on his behind, has got to be one of the cutest candid shots I've seen in awhile. Brotherly love at it's best! then they go about playing the rest of the time, until the sun is starting to set and Mom and Dad call them back across the river to head home for a good night's sleep, after hours of Keweenaw fresh air and sunshine. Who could ask for anything more?

Summer fun!

The boys look like they really are having a wonderful time there. For me, I would label this "therapy" Happy 4th to all!

from the looks of the bank and river and point i thought it was my favorite UP beach at Autrain!! wait, third favorite beach - first fave is chapel beach second is miners beach, then Autrain.

What good memories! Also glad to see the little guy has a shirt on. Depends on how hot the weather, protect that childs tender skin mom and dad. Good for you.

It's good to see BridgeCam back. I check the Tech. cam when this one's not working, but this is my favorite.

where is the power failure cause ??

The power failure was from Lake Linden all the way down to Ripley. I think it was a transformer, in Lake Linden, and a lot of tree limbs had to be cut. It was off for a couple of hours or so. It happened just as the park, in Lake Linden, started to set up for our shin-dig tonight.

I forgot. I love the pictures espcially little brother helping. That is so cute.

This mile long semi-deserted sand beach is about a half mile South of us here at Big Traverse. Harris Creek is where the children are playing. It drains a bog where wild cranberries can be found in autumn. There is a Township Park nearby with picnic tables, campfire pits, a playground, parking lot and rest facilities.
Go 5 miles off of Bootjack Rd.,2 1/2 miles past Rice Lake and turn right at S. Traverse Bay Road.

There are some PRECIOUS MEMORIES being made right there. How WONDERFUL! Blessings to those babies....I hope their paths are simply phenomenal, and they walk it together...just like they are here! That's some good mojo! :D
