• Father's Day-What'sUP June 20 - 05:06 pm

Entering the word "father" this morning on the Pasty.com search page gave dozens of references from the Guest Gallery, as well as the Pasty Cam through its 12+ years. I grabbed a few this morning as we remember our own Dads, the places we've been, the things we've done together. The first comes from Patricia Forgrave, a silhouette of her guys at Sunset Bay campground - Cathy Westcott captured the excitement of playing ball with Dad on a previous Father's Day - Debra McCumber takes us along a U.P. backroad for a walk with Dad (or maybe GrandDad in this case) - and finally a more recent shot from Becky (the pasty girl) Howard when they brought home our new granddaughter, and Dad introduced her to big sister.

One of my favorite Father's Day Shoebox Memories that appeared on these pages, was the one in 2002 from Tim Colburn.

Happy Heavenly Father's Day to my dad and father-in-law! I miss you two deeply!

The pictures bring tears..they are just beautiful. Happy Father's Day to all you Daddys out there. And everyone who has your Father here, give him an extra hug...there are folks out here that can't do that....and we miss that.

I'd like to remember my dear dad, Allen McMurphy, this moring. He was born & raised in Onaway, but a true UPer at heart. This is the 20th father's day I won't get to see him, but still miss him. Love you always, Dad!

After seeing today's Pasty Cam, my wife Edie gave me this from her Shoebox of memories, with her dad when she was about a year old.

Happy Dad's Day to all! Wishing I could say that to my daddy, Luther Waddell (Oct. 1901-Oct. 1993). I thank God that he had a long and healthy life.:)

Dad, I miss you. Twelve years since you are gone, and still every day I reach for the phone to tell you about an unusual cloud pattern, or last night's storm, or a heron landing in my pond, or an interesting case at the lab. Or to hum a bit of a classical composition so that you could tell me the name and who wrote it, knowing that if you didn't know you would make something up on the spot. Give Mom a hug from all of us, and say Hi to Jesus. I'll see you one of these days.

Thank you Charlie for putting the picture up from 2002. Alot of memories for me. This is my little son Tim and his dad who was killed in an accident about two years after this picture was taken. One day we will all be together in Heaven again and Tim will see his father.
