Morning, As of 6 this morning I have not heard if Hope has been located. Please read an update on the search at www.bear.org. If anything comes up during the day, I will post an update. (Note: I posted a message concerning Lily the Bear and Hope yesterday, Hope is missing and a search is on)

I had to listen to the "day in history" several times before I caught it. Yes indeed it's Ishpeming. There's a reference to "an Ishpeming editor" in the day in history. and the 2009 pic is "near Ishpeming".

I also have been glued to the internet waiting to hear about Hope. So close yet so far away.

I just got an update from the Duluth News Tribune, still no sign of Hope. Go to www.duluthnewstribune.com for more info. I will keep everyone posted as things develope--it is not sounding very positive, nature way can be gruel sometimes but that is the way of it is it not.

I can't believe I am so upset over Hope. I guess it is because Lily just up and lost her. If another animal had gotten her, I think I could believe that, that's part of the cruelness of nature. But Lily just up and leaving her, I am having a hard time with. I know it rained and the scent was hard to follow but I can't help but feel she shouldn't have been so far away to begin with. I am still holding out that the researchers may locate Hope and save her. I just don't know if I can "follow" another baby bear over the webcam like I did Hope. Too much heartbreak.

Does anyone know why the early morning flight out of Houghton was cancelled this morning?

I hope the fire a year ago didn't get too big; I notice 1 of the U.S. Flags is a 48-Star Flag. Thanks for sharing all the pix.

As of the 5 pm news cast on Channel 10 (Duluth,MN) still no sign of Hope. They (Lynn Rogers and Crew) will continue again tonight with heat sensor tracking devices (I hope that made sense). Now lets see if Lily will take care of her after so long apart.The drama isn't over yet. Thank goodness she has been found! I was hoping so. Now she just has to get healthy again. Thank you for keeping all of us informed.

I repeat and will probably do it tomorrow too, that Hope has been found ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep updating as events unfold or give sites to go to for info. I don't want to misinform anyone. I'd like to Thank all Pasty site visitor people who check out this site a Thank You for letting me post this and letting a "Yooperwannabe" feel "ok" for a change.
