I love Dan's trilliums! Can anyone tell me what kind of aperture setting you use to get a shot like that?

By John W Anderson (Wd8rth) on Monday, May 17, 2010 - 11:43 am:

Please wish with me a Happy 100th Birthday to my Aunt Ruth (Frimodig) Cole from Marquette. Born in Houghton 100 years ago today, Ruth is the last surviving sibling of Hjalmar & Mable Frimodig.

Happy, Happy 100th Birthday Aunt Ruth!! We hope you have a very special day.

By Carol Van Der Woude (Cvanderwoude) on Monday, May 17, 2010 - 12:22 pm:

Beautiful picture of the trillium! I saw a couple trilliums at Olbrich
Gardens in Madison, WI this weekend. They were beginning to
fade--but I was delighted. It was the first time I have seen them in
nature.

There are some wonderful pictures today! I love pictures of barns, etc!

Have a wonderfully Happy 100th Birthday, Aunt Ruth! I don't get the opportunity to wish very many people a Happy 100th Birthday! Both of my parents were gone long before the Century Mark! You go, girl! :-)

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Monday, May 17, 2010 - 03:34 pm:

Still more wonderful pictures. Thank you.

By Diana P. (Diana) on Monday, May 17, 2010 - 04:24 pm:

What a special birthday you have today, Aunt Ruth (Frimodig) Cole! I am sure you will have many warm wishes sent your way for a wonderful day! Happy Happy 100th Birthday to you!! :)

Blessings and happiness Aunt Ruth! My mother would have been 100 years old last Dec. 28th if she were still with me. The trilliums are lovely. Know a special place in Door Co. Wis.where there were double trilliums. Wonder if they're still there.

Happy Birthday to John Anderson's Aunt Ruth. You must have a lot of sisu to make it to 100. Good for you. BTW, are you related to Mac Firmodig. He and my brother Ferd were good friends in school days. They both went off to war in WWII. Mac came back gravely wounded, Ferd didn't come back. Just remembered, Mac's folks lived near my parents just off Jasper St. (I think). Happy B Day nice lady.

Morning!

By John W Anderson (Wd8rth) on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 - 08:38 am:

hi Richard, Mac was my uncle, I remember hearing some of his war stories. I have some old pictures of the house at 59 Jasper St. in the photo gallery. Look for the Frimodig Family file under John W Anderson
